Nikki Marshall, an account executive from Gala Bingo has reveled that the participating crowd have labeled bingo callers as ‘really important’. She stressed the importance of the bingo caller’s job as more than just calling out numbers to those inside the hall - instead commanding a bigger responsibility to entertain as well as conduct the game.

The 2008 award for Bingo Caller of the Year went to Michael Edwards, who won the prize for the second consecutive year after the Stratford-born gaming entertainer beat seven other finalists at the competition in Birmingham.
