The aim is to raise £1 million during a period of 18 months, for the Sue Ryder Care charity. The cause will work throughout all of the Gala Bingo divisions, which include the Gala Bingo, the Gala Casino, E-Commerce and their International Division.
The election of Sue Ryder Care as the charity of choice was made after an employee vote, where this charity was by far the most voted one between employees. It is a healthcare charity which takes care and supports people with serious illnesses and conditions; this also includes their families and loved ones.
The whole concept of the organization is to try and get out the best of people’s lives by helping to restore some of the health conditions that are inevitably taken away by the following illnesses: Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, Huntingdon’s disease, brain injury and dementia. Apart from this, they also aim to help people to make the best of their quality of life, even if their condition has no possibilities of getting better.
